An article in The Times about 11+ exams

I was stunned to read that families are spending an average of £230 a month per child (£317 in the South East) for tutors just to cram them for 11+. Surely they will just struggle if they do get in to schools on this basis? I'd much rather opt for an approach that paves the way for future success through secure skills and the ability to think for yourself. I read it somewhere else - real learning not rote learning has to be the preference!
