Exciting New Opportunity for Kids with Opening of MagiKats Tuition Centre in Glasgow

A new MagiKats private tuition centre has opened in Glasgow South serving Govanhill, Strathbungo, Pollockshields, Langside, Polmadie and Mount Florida and offering a great opportunity to children in the area.

The new centre will be run by research scientist and mum Paulina Okoro who has experienced first-hand how MagiKats can help its students. With a PhD in science, Paulina describes herself as organized and meticulous with an analytical mind. One thing for sure is that she’s passionate about making a difference to the children in her area and helping them achieve their ambitions.

My son attended MagiKats, and it has helped him immensely in his school work. Within a few months of enrolling at MagiKats he was excelling in all his work. Children need somewhere where they can either catch up if they are behind or somewhere that will challenge them if they are ready to excel at school. MagiKats has a unique, well-established program of teaching that works. And I know that being a part of MagiKats and will allow me to contribute to the future generation of scientists.”

MagiKats offers out-of-school tutoring in maths and English for any child from pre-school to National 5. All the teaching materials and resources have been developed and tested on many children around the country. It’s based around weekly, interactive workshops that support the school curriculum and provide a core skills development programme. With study skills, thinking skills and problem-solving skills included at every level, the effect of the MagiKats programmes spreads across all subjects. Each child is also provided with a different programme to follow, meaning the work is tailored specifically to the individual.

Talking of her plans for the new centre, Paulina explained,

I love the small group, child centred approach to learning and the fact that each group has a dedicated mentor.  This really means we can meet each child’s needs and build their confidence and social skills as well as the more obvious skills in maths and English. I hope as the new centre grows, I’ll be able to expand and offer an even greater choice of workshops days, times and locations within Glasgow.”

MagiKats Glasgow is the latest centre to open in Scotland. There are already thriving centres in Edinburgh, Alloa and Livingston, with another in Dunfermline due to open soon. The new Glasgow centre is now accepting student enrolments.  You can find out more here.
