Do you need a helping hand with your child’s education in maths and English? At MagiKats Newington we believe in learning without limits and offer out of school tutoring services for children of all ages through our weekly fun and engaging tutor led workshops.

We cater for all ages and abilities, with students ranging from older teenagers preparing for National 4 or 5 exams right through to those just starting out in school. Our teaching programme supports Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence and we’re focused on providing all the tools and knowledge your child needs to excel to the best of their ability.

Following continued growth and success in helping children reach their full academic potential, MagiKats Newington is one of three tuition centres in Edinburgh run by Principal Ifti Hussain. Supported by a team of experienced, highly trained tutors, our weekly workshops take place in convenient locations in Edinburgh including Newington, Leith Walk and Blackhall.

How will using MagiKats for tuition help my child?

Quite simply, we add the ‘fun factor’ into learning which will help your child continue to be enthused with their education. We also focus on more than just subject skills, placing a strong emphasis on learning areas such as reasoning, study skills, thinking and social interaction. Our tuition programmes complement Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence so that your child can reap the maximum benefit from their education.

Our experienced mentors only work with small groups of up to five students at any one time, so we’re able to closely monitor your child’s progress and can tailor our teaching to their needs and capabilities.

Join us for a placement session

We want you to be comfortable with your child’s learning environment so ask that all students undertake a placement session with us before enrolment. This way we can assess their current maths and/or English ability and you’re able to see first-hand how our sessions operate.

You have the option to enrol in both maths and English or just one subject area for an affordable monthly fee that covers all our workshops and extended tutor materials.
