MagiKats Lytham Celebrates Five Years in Business

MagiKats Lytham Principal, Sally Godfrey, has reached the milestone of five years in business. Working alongside a small team of tutors, Sally offers maths and English tuition workshops for all ages from her centre on St. David’s Road in Lytham St. Annes.

As an experienced secondary Maths teacher, Sally set up her Tuition Centre to provide more hands-on, personalised educational support to her students. Tuition workshops are held in small groups, which helps build a child’s confidence as well as making sessions more fun and engaging, as Sally explains. “We have a mix of students of all ages and needs, from Reception and Year One right through to teens studying for their GCSEs, so our workgroups are tailored to suit. By creating a friendly and inclusive environment, within a relaxed, low-pressure setting, children enjoy learning together, helping them make real progress at school.”

During lessons, Sally is joined by retired Primary school Head Teacher, Vicky, and A-Level age mentors. This blend of experience and relatability gives the centre the flexibility to offer individualised one-to-one tuition when needed. Every session ends with a game to finish on a positive note and regular recognition for a task well done keeps children motivated so they don’t feel like learning is a chore.

Parents choose to send their child to MagiKats Lytham for a variety of reasons, as Sally explains, “Alongside developing strong subject skills in maths and English, MagiKats also helps children build important soft skills such as study habits, concentration, social interaction and teamwork. You may be looking to give your child a head start, provide extra help in the lead-up to tests such as SATs, or address specific learning gaps through out-of-school tuition. We also have extensive experience working with children with SEND, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the progress students make and to hear parents’ feedback on the positive impact of the additional support we provide.”

MagiKats Lytham holds its workshops on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. To learn more and book your child’s assessment visit https://www.magikats.co.uk/lytham
