"Seth's confidence is definitely growing. It is great that his work is tailor made for his level and fantastic that the feedback is read and noted so if something needs more practice, more sheets are given."

A message from the Principal of MagiKats East Grinstead

I am delighted to be launching our new MagiKats centre, offering tuition for Maths and English in East Grinstead. Our centre offers workshops for children from primary age all the way through to GCSE and is specifically written to support the British curriculum.

Why MagiKats?

In my experience, children come to our centres for a variety of reasons. Some need support and encouragement because they lack confidence or have missed out on some basic concepts and get stuck. Others may need help with problem solving or study skills or to be stretched beyond what they are learning in the classroom. My focus will be on getting to know you and your child, so I can put together a tuition programme just for them.

What we do

Our small group workshops are designed to boost your child’s confidence and enable progress in a fun and relaxed learning environment.

Your child will work with a carefully selected mentor under my direct supervision. MagiKats uses two strands of study: curriculum and core. While your child works through the more challenging curriculum work, they are also reinforcing their core skills with separate carefully planned materials to work on independently.

Our workshops use a multi-sensory approach. Students will use their problem solving and study skills with hands on resources rather than computers, as well as working with more traditional written material.

My background

I have a proven track record in education, most recently teaching in the Middle East. As a parent of three, I know how worrying it can be when your child is struggling at school. As a teacher, I also know that difficulties are hard to address in large classes. Changes in the UK curriculum have put additional pressures on children and parents alike.

I have been involved with MagiKats since 2012, when I helped launch a fantastic MagiKats Centre in Dubai. As the head of English, I saw the programme working successfully with the international students there, most of whom were studying using the British Curriculum.

We are lucky to be running our centre from East Court in the heart of East Grinstead. Located close to our local schools and providing free parking, the Cranston Suite provides a lovely light space in which to learn.

Next Steps

Please give me a ring or send me a message and we can have a chat about your child. I am usually in the office from 10.30am to 2.30pm but will pick up messages and call you back if I am out and about or in a workshop.

There is no obligation and never any hard sell. We will invite your child in for an initial meeting and placement so we can plan individual goals and discuss your concerns. Your child will be introduced to their mentor and have a chance to work with our materials and try out a workshop.

My team and I look forward to meeting with you soon.
