Celebrating 10 years of MagiKats Cardiff Llandaff North

Jane and the team at MagiKats Cardiff Llandaff North are celebrating 10 years in business this month.

Throughout this time, they’ve taught hundreds of children and continue to support all ages as they progress through school. A particularly proud stat that the centre has achieved is a 100% pass rate for students in GCSE Maths and English! Some of the centre’s former students have also gone on to become classroom assistants, a fantastic testament to the experience they’ve had while studying at the centre.

MagiKats Principal Jane Williams said, “We simply love what we do, helping to teach the next generation and giving children the confidence to do their very best at school. Every student has individual needs and we know that by nurturing their skills, they’ll be able to thrive throughout their education. After 45 years in education, I understand how important it is for children to have interactive, hands-on support and I’m incredibly happy that we’re able to offer this to our students.”

Jane is supported in the centre by qualified teachers, Buff and Jenna, and class room assistants who mentor each small group during the workshops. With primary and secondary teaching experience as well as SEND, the centre offers specialist tutoring to all aged children, including ESL students.

“Many of our students are first generation in UK and we actively support these families with books and advice in addition to the workshops. We’re also delighted to be able to offer additional services to children with SEND needs including autism.”  

“We’re looking forward to our annual prize giving awards in January where we can share the progress of our students with parents and reward children for their achievements this year.”
